As a breast cancer survivor, you know that breast cancer is more than just treating the tumor, there are often emotional and social challenges to overcome as well. In fact, a recent survey showed that four out of five women experience distress due to a breast cancer diagnosis. The Wellness Community - Foothills recognizes that women who have faced breast cancer are more than patients, more than survivors and more than their breast cancer.
That's why we hope you'll join The Cancer Survivor's Breast Cancer M.A.P. (Mind Affects the Physical) Project, a new movement to identify and address the emotional social needs that accompany a breast cancer diagnosis. This registry of breast cancer survivors is a critical step in understanding the impact of breast cancer and ultimately discovering innovative ways to address them.
Participating is easy. All it takes is two simple steps:
- Visit www.breastcancerregistry.org to sign up
- Answer questions about your experience and provide updates on a yearly basis (It will only take about 20 minutes!)
Help change the breast cancer experience for the millions of women who live it everyday. Register now at www.breastcancerregistry.org.
Together, we can make a difference!
