In Memory of Elizabeth Rusnak Arizmendi

Elizabeth Rusnak Arizmendi was Vice President of Public Relations at the company her father, Paul Rusnak, founded in 1966 - Rusnak Automotive Group.

Liz became familiar with Cancer Support Community Pasadena (“CSCP”) when a dear friend was diagnosed with cancer, and the Rusnak Family have been loyal supporters ever since. In 2011, she and CSCP’s former Executive Director, Meg Symes, decided to create a new fundraising event for CSCP called Ladies Night Out (“LNO”). Still active, this event brings more than 300 women together each fall to celebrate women facing cancer, remember those who have passed, and to raise funds for CSCP.

CSCP honored the Rusnak family and company for their continuing support over many years at our annual gala in 2017. At this event, the Rusnak family set the stage for a new level of philanthropy for the women, men, and children CSCP serves who are facing cancer with an unprecedented $100,000 match.

Among Liz's many achievements - Liz was a guest speaker at the USC Women’s Conference, High Point University Women’s Conference, All Stars Los Angeles and The Women’s Council of Realtors of Southern California. She was awarded the Congressional Recognition for Outstanding and Invaluable Service to the Community by Congressman Adam B. Schiff, Certificate of Recognition of Service from Senator David Dreier and Senator Carol Liu, and Certificate of Commendation from Mayor, County of Los Angeles, and Michael D. Antonovich. Liz also was a judge for Miss California USA and was the Centennial Gala Chair for Hillsides. She also received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Hillsides, the Angel Award for Cancer Support Community Pasadena and the 2017 Outstanding Philanthropic Award from the Association Fundraising Professionals Greater Los Angeles Chapter.
