In Memory of Mark Berger

Mark Berger was an accomplished aerospace engineer and talented artist. He performed thermal analysis, test development, and systems engineering on the shuttle, launch vehicles, and an experimental space vehicle.

When he retired from aerospace, he pursued fine art painting. He won many local awards and received honorable mention in a prestigious national contest for a self-portrait. His paintings hang in the Pentagon and a Smithsonian affiliate in Pittsburgh.

After treatment for prostate cancer, he donated a painting to the Cancer Support Community in Pasadena.

He was born on January 9, 1955, in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Penn State, where he played baseball and met his wife, Kathy.

Among his many accomplishments, he considered his sons, Seth and Nathan, to be the greatest.

Ironically, for a man who used both sides of his brain so effectively, he died from complications of brain cancer on July 4, 2021.
